Langtang Valley Trek

Nepal's most accessible mountain valley, with dense forests, glacial rivers, and welcoming Tamang culture.

The journey

The Langtang Valley sits just north of Kathmandu, making it one of Nepal's most accessible treks. Walk through dense rhododendron forests, past glacial rivers, and into the heart of a valley flanked by 7,000-metre peaks.

The Tamang culture here is rich and welcoming. After the 2015 earthquake devastated the original Langtang village, the community has rebuilt with incredible resilience. Trekking here directly supports that recovery.

The highlight is Kyanjin Ri, a steep climb above Kyanjin Gompa that rewards you with a 360-degree panorama of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Dorje Lakpa, and the Tibetan Plateau beyond.
